Multi-Dimensional Geometry
FCSI has developed the ability to store 4+ dimensional data within Smallworld's geometry data structure. This ability allows Smallworld to be the only GIS on the market to support storage of LiDAR and Survey data without complicated data structures.
LiDAR
FCSI has developed functionality to store the 16 dimensions of a LAS version 1.3 (point record format 3) LiDAR dataset in Smallworld. You can view the LiDAR data in 2 or 3 dimensions and interact with the data.
- Update digital elevation models with data from LiDAR.
- Filter and colorize LiDAR point data by LiDAR attributes.
- Select individual LiDAR point for analysis.
Time/Value Data
FCSI's approach to Time/Value data storage implements our knowledge of creating N-Dimensional geometry. Instead of a complex data structure of separate points and attributes, all the data is stored as one geometry. This geometry can be drawn in any number of ways to have the best presentation to the user.
